Meet The Team
Alex Mayfield – Director of Research & Development
I’m a Harvard-trained research biologist and lead most of the research done here at Cellular Research Institute. I specialize in molecular biology within the human body. My passion for all-natural health remedies has led me to study botany as well, with relevant research crossing over into.
In my spare time, I’m bit of a bookworm, I’ll admit it. I always have my face buried in pages relevant to our research at CRI. When I’m not reading, I enjoy hiking, traveling with my wife, and watching sports. Like many Americans, I watch football in the fall, hockey in the winter, lacrosse in the spring (except during March Madness), and baseball in the summer.
One of my favorite spare time activities is reading all of the letters and emails I get from CRI customers. These success stories really drive me to keep researching and find more ways to help people. My job at Cellular Research Institute is one of those rare cases where my career is also my favorite hobby.
Roberto Contreras II, M.D. – Chief Scientific Officer
I am a licensed physician and surgeon with over 20 years of experience and memberships in the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the National Hispanic Medical Association. My education includes degrees from prestigious universities like the Harvard University School of Public Health, the George Washington University School of Medicine, University of Southern California, and more.
I regularly give lectures at Community Health Centers and Universities to help people manage difficult, chronic diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease.
As the Chief Scientific Officer at Cellular Research Institute, I continue to achieve my goal of helping people improve their health and manage difficult illnesses, as that is the primary goal of the company—to forge lifelong relationships with customers and help them live happier, healthier lives.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my wife and daughter. Out of compassion for my daughter and the rest of the special needs community, my wife and I are developing a line of toys designed specifically for them, with a minimum of 5% of the profits going to charity.
